Integrated Management System

Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)

Our comprehensive Safety Management System is a part of an Integrated Management System (IMS) which incorporates all of AMANA’s Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) processes in to one complete framework. We are committed to our employees’ well-being.

Our framework enables our skilled HSE team to successfully handle all health and safety matters to continually measure and improve our performance, ensuring we deliver projects to the highest standards for our employees and clients.

Our HSE process framework includes:

  • Long-time prioritisation of the Health and Safety Policy and systematic approach to ensure policy implementation aligns with AMANA’s objectives.
  • Pre-planning HSE objectives and targets.
  • Accident investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Pre-project hazard identification programme, risk registering and risk assessment.
  • Preparation and implementation of safety operational procedures and mechanisms.
  • Sustained and effective safety communication procedure to ensure an elevated level of proficiency.
  • Measuring performance to guarantee effective implementation of our Safety and Health Management System.
  • Regular auditing and reviewing of performance (KPI), followed by measured improvements ensuring that the overall HSE performance standards.
  • IOSH-UK training programmes to develop employees sound understanding of managing employee safety and wellbeing.
  • Ongoing delivery of internationally recognised training alongside behavioural based safety programmes to ensure that safety culture is applied across AMANA.
Inspections

Quality Assurance and Quality Control

Quality assurance and quality control are at the heart of our priorities. We implement a three-phase approach, working to eliminate opportunities for error, reducing or eradicating defects and their associated costs.

Phase One – Preparatory Inspection
Before mobilising to a construction site, a preparatory inspection is performed to establish the controls required during construction. All equipment and materials are verified and approved for use, and on-site staff are fully briefed on the work required.

Phase Two – Initial Inspection
A major checkpoint to ensure that everything is ready before proceeding on-site. All parties must guarantee that controls established during the preparatory inspections are adequate and workmanship is defined. Any corrective action, changes in methods, re-emphasis on quality, or recommendations are defined at this stage before work can begin. A project cannot proceed unless this phase is completed.

Phase Three – Follow-Up Inspections
Follow-up inspections are a continual process, providing regular monitoring of progress and work performed. Performed daily, all observations are documented in a Quality Control Report.

Safety & Efficiency

Transport & Logistics

At AMANA, we use AMANA Plant Unit construction technology, a collection of innovative tools, machinery and software to make our construction sites safe and enhance employees efficiency. It has allowed us to increase productivity, improve collaboration and tackle complex site requirements with ease across our project portfolio.

AMANA’s Logistics Unit (ALU) manages and is responsible for preparatory work and operations necessary to move personnel, equipment and supplies conducting all the mobilisation and de-mobilisation activities across our projects. ALU ensures the availability of store materials and consumable items prior to proceeding to external suppliers and is structured to recondition, repair and maintain our assets.
